GrandStream PBX
I'm a big fan of VoIP and SIP. I ran Asterisk native and also used a Trixbox package. After a while, All it wanted was a PBX appliance. I settled on the Grandstream product since it had a reasonable price point.
Current setup is:
Grandstream UCN6202
9 SIP phones - mainly Linksys SPA692s
SIP trunk to my VOIP provider (flowroute)
In August of 2009, I ported the phone numbers I've used for 25 years from Verizon to Vitelity and later to flowroute. The SIP handoff is fully digital and run over IP. This provides a lot of flexibility in routing, but the biggest advantage is eliminating the analog trunk interfaces. The echo issues and hardware support headaches of the analog cards will now be a distant memory. The process was VERY easy. I expected troubles in the telco turf battleground but saw none. A "tip of the hat" to the FCC for cracking the whip on the telcos and making them play well together.
